Sal Mineo

 These two are part of a series shot by photographer Ken Duncan.  They're hard to find online so the quality of the one photo with his arms folded on his chest is the best out there.


I think Mineo had it bad for Dean.  You can see it in Rebel Without a Cause, the way Mineo looks at Dean.  For me, these photos are much more intimate than intended.



 There's a good portion of Mineo's publicity photos that show him shirtless, at the beach, at a pool, exercising, that sort of thing.  I'm not complaining.  I don't know where this one came from but I like it.

Here's a few provocative stills from the stage production of 'Fortune and Men's Eyes' which Mineo directed at the Coronet Theater in L.A.  By this time, Mineo was living as an openly gay actor.  In the photos are a young Don Johnson, who played the lead in the play.
